1. Initial enquiries and provisional bookings will be held open for a time specified to you and noted on our records. Provisional bookings will be accepted providing we have your name,address and a contact telephone number.

  2. Upon receipt of your deposit we will confirm your booking in either writing or email. For short notice bookings we will hold the paperwork and present it to you on arrival.

  3. The confirmation Letter specifies the dates of your stay,type of room and board basis (BB or BBEM) and the balance to pay. PLEASE READ THE DETAILS CAREFULLY AND CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY IF THERE APPEARS TO BE A DISCREPANCY.

  4. You should notify us at time of booking if you have any special requirements. This includes lack of mobility,use of wheelchairs,special dietry requirements etc. If anyone in your party is incontinent and is/or is likely to soil themselves we reserve the right to decline the booking. Nurses and care workers are welcome to attend to your medical requirements whilst you are with us. Please inform us of their likely times/frequency of visits etc.

  5. We will store and charge Mobility Scooters etc at a small charge to cover the cost of electricity. Please make sure that you have sufficient insurance cover. WE DO NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO SUCH EQUIPMENT HOWSOEVER CAUSED.

  6. Guests who use wheelchairs and other mobility aids are asked to take care of our fixtures and fittings. MOBILITY SCOOTERS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE BUILDING.

  7. The Rufford is fully compliant with the latest legislation on Access for Disabled. We do not have a lift. We have three ground floor rooms. There are limitations as to the degree of facilities we are able to provide. It is essential that you give us the correct information at the time of booking so we are able to make an informed decision before accepting your booking.

  8. Sorry, we are unable to "sign" however,those who suffer from Hearing Impairments or are profoundly deaf are most welcome. Likewise,those who are Blind or visually impaired are also most welcome. GUIDE DOGS are permitted.

  9. SINGLE people are welcome. The standard tarriff applies - from EASTER TO OCTOBER where a single person occupies a double room,the Senior Citizen Discount is not offered and a surcharge may be charged.

  10. Personal Effects and Items of High Value. Limited insurance is in place. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have taken out adequate insurance. Do not rely on Holiday Insurance as the cover may NOT be adequate. Our insurance WILL NOT.

  11. Please ensure your room is locked at all times. KEEP THE MAIN DOOR TO THE HOTEL LOCKED for the safety and security of all our guests.

  12. Car parking is available on-site. We ask for the parking in front of the building to be reserved for our guests with walking difficulties. We have a large car park at the rear which is easily accessible. WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE TO VEHICLES OR THEIR CONTENTS HOWSOEVER CAUSED.

  13. OUR CANCELLATION POLICY. DEPOSITS are non-refundable. Once you receive your confirmation you have entered into a binding contract. If cancelled 56+days deposits only taken.42-29days=45%of total holiday cost. 28-15days=60%. 14-1days=90%. Day of arrival=100%of total cost of stay is required.PLEASE INSURE YOURSELVES SO YOU ARE NOT OUT OF POCKET.
